The nuagecare cloud
Our cloud-based solution is fully managed and secure. All your organisation’s data is processed on Microsoft’s Azure cloud computing platform on servers situated in the UK. Cloud computing makes data backup, disaster recovery, and continuity easier as data is mirrored at multiple sites on Microsoft’s Azure network and transmitted over secure protocols (HTTPS/FTPS).
Azure meets a broad set of international and industry-specific compliance standards and Microsoft is the only cloud provider to adhere to the ISO/IEC 27018 code of practice, covering the processing of personal information by cloud service providers.
Cloud hosting offers several main benefits to our customers, including but not limited to, economy, flexibility, scalability, data security, productivity and performance.
One of the primary benefits of cloud computing is mobility. This affords you and your staff the flexibility to work from any location, not chained to a desk. We capture and save every call to nuagecare, from every PC and every device. We are able to see who did what, when, where, why and for whom.
This allows us to trace critical security information such as the time the call was made, from which IP address, data requested and data received.
We also capture any exceptions which means we often know about any system warning or error before our customers have time to report a problem.
Permission-based security for roles and users
At the core of our security is a permissions-based role system which can be overridden for individual users.
This means users can only see what they need to see according to what role (or roles) they have been allocated. Out of the box we have roles for Carer, Care senior, Care manager, Home administrator, Activities manager and a simple role for Ancillary staff.
Every member of staff in your care setting can be added to nuagecare at no extra cost. You can then set up appraisals and supervisions and even specialised training for fire drills and medication competency for everyone in your organisation, yourself included!

To make nuagecare even more secure we added features to allow you to set your own rules for passwords and use two-factor authentication.

We allow homes to be locked down by IP address with overrides to allow individual staff members to work from home.
For devices we can likewise lockdown by IP and, in addition, we can lockdown by a geolocation radius, say 500m from the centre of your home!
Data protection
We are fully compliant with the UK's data protection laws. In the event of a subject access request contact Nuage and we will set in motion a trawl through production and archive data stores and supply you with the full set of personal data, regardless of age.
